Vortrag: Cyber Security Next
resilience: recovery ability
How do you protect your data from a ransomware attack? What is the recovery plan for data and systems? Are your recovery plans for disaster and cyberattack identical?
It is beyond debate that both a natural disaster and a cyberattack can have devastating consequences for a business. Fast and correct recovery helps to minimize these potentially immense costs. For example, the average cost of downtime in large organizations is more than $11,600 per minute. IT failures are particularly fatal for small businesses, with between 40 and 60 percent of these companies having to close their doors for good after a data loss. To avoid this, it is therefore important to approach recovery as efficiently as possible. Disaster recovery focuses on Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) and keeping the business running smoothly. In contrast, cyber recovery is about business survival, focusing on data, applications, infrastructure and more. This is the new challenge that will be brought up in the presentation.
